Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra Trip
This week, our Music department took pupils from across the school to see the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra perform "The World in One City: A Musical Journey."
In the concert, the Orchestra used music to help discover the history and traditions of communities around the world. Exploring geography and identity, it also helped pupils learn the important role music plays in shaping a sense of home and self for individuals around the globe.
Mrs Dooley, who organised the trip, said, "it was amazing to see a live orchestra perform and to meet lots of other children from different schools".
Experiences like this are invaluable for developing pupil's appreciation for live music and the modern arts. Pupils really enjoyed the immersive performance.
