World Book Day 2025

On this day, it seems all our students (and staff) go missing, and storybook characters take their places...

We had a special visit from storyteller John Row, who met with all year groups. He shared some of his favourite stories and inspired our pupils to think about worlds beyond their imaginations.

In the afternoon it was time for our annual World Book Day quiz, which was full of smiles, friendly competition and excellent teamwork. At the end of the day, prizes were announced for best costume. The choice was a very tough one to say the least.

Around school, we also had many a decorated door as class teams got together to create magical literary wonderlands for pupils to enter into. From Charlie and the Chocolate Factory to Narnia, the possibilities were endless.

Thank you to all our pupils and staff who got dressed up and to John Row for coming in to talk to us. Special mention goes to our reading team who organised this week's World Book Day events.
