A rich, varied, aspirational curriculum
Our curriculum and wide range of qualifications is relevant to our pupils' needs, is designed to enable our young people to reach their potential. We provide our pupils with aspirational opportunities, academic and vocational, with over 19 subject choices at GCSE or equivalent. And in addition to that, we pride ourselves in our enrichment to develop social , emotional, mental health and life skills. We achieve this through a wider curriculum including external school trips, visitors to school, theme days, charity days and wellbeing activities.
Our Support Services are intrinsic to pupils' educational success
We provide a holistic approach to our pupils, integrating education and clinical therapeutic support, to support both their learning and our young people's complex special educational needs. Our Support Services include Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Pastoral Care and Learning Support Team.
Wellbeing and mental health
At West Kirby School and College, wellbeing is part of our weekly curriculum. Every Friday afternoon is dedicated to wellbeing and our pupils are involved in adventures and activities on and off site.
