We had author Damani Dennisur join us to deliver an entertaining and engaging ‘AIM High’ writing day, focused on performance poetry.
Pupils were expertly guided into writing their own pieces through interactive workshops, taking their skills to the next level.
Damani started his poetic journey at 12 years old, writing for black history month, Nationwide poetry slams and local rap/writing competitions. Within a few short years he was Birmingham's 7th Young Poet Laureate and his talent was opening all sorts of doors for him.
What an inspiration. Thank you to Damani for joining us and truly engaging our pupils, whilst sharing his passion for poetry and inspiring the next generation.
