Bakery Wins ‘Team of The Year’ Award
Our bakery is bringing up all the goods, we’ve won another award!
After being shortlisted, the Post 16 Bakery team, together with Mr Smith, Deputy Headteacher, went to
the ‘Engage in Their Future’ awards ceremony and were thrilled to win Gold ‘Team of The Year’.
The Bakery team went onto the stage with pride to collect their awards, presented by ex-pupil Nathanael Griffiths. Nathanael was invited by 'Engage in Their Future' to join them as guest speaker and to present the awards to the winners. Nathanael gave an inspirational speech about the challenges he has faced over the years being neurodiverse, how he has overcome them to go on to win ‘Handmade: Britain's Best Woodworker 2023’. Listening to him talk and watching his progress makes us proud and reminds us and our pupils to follow their interests and ambitions. With the right support the future can hold great things.
'Engage In Their Future' is the national association for school leaders within the Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) sector in Special Educational Needs. Its aim is to improve life chances for children and it is a
pleasure to work together with them in supporting our pupils to celebrate their achievements.
Congratulations to The School Bakery team on their second award! Also recently recognised by the NASS Innovation award.
